I eat edamame and sushi everyday in order to drown out the sound of my belly aching for a green chile cheese veggie burger, or green chile cheese fries, or green chile relleno burritos, and green chile chicken enchiladas or huevos rancheros with chunks of green chile in the green chile sauce over Deming pinto beans, homies and a fried egg. I also gave up wheat in order to stop thinking about Roberto's Tortillas. I can't stand the sight of Jalapenos.
I don't like New Mexican food here because it's too colorful. I think they should make it a requirement to include hatch green chile in the recipe if you are going to call you dish NEW MEXICAN! I saw a New Mexican salad with boiled potatoes, thyme, green bell pepper, sundried tomatoes, corn and red onion with white vinager. This upset me.

There is so much more than just chile I miss about New Mexico. I miss the smell of the rain. I do not miss concrete boogers. I miss hearing nothing but the sound of coyotes at night and roosters in the morning. Sadly that has been replaced by loud stereos Bass high with a Bum pa Bum Pa Bum pa beat and the sound of lots of dogs barking.

I am sitting in the Atrium at 56th at Madison writting this. The birds scuttle past begging, and the homeless shelter from the rain. Well, at least some people here look homeless. Someone on the other side of the atrium brought a typewriter. The sound of the carriage return bell echos. That lasting ring is accompanied by the very slow stricking of the keys by the 2 finger typist. I am glad he is typing with 2 fingers. He's typing too slow to be typing words. Maybe he just likes the sound. It's not a rhythmic sound, just a constant one. The coffee here is awful. I drank 3 sips, thats it. I throw it out with my pencil shavings. This is going to be typed in later. I hope I don't change any of it. Of course I am changing it. HA. Stupid me thinking I can influence my typing self. There are lot's of reflective surfaces here. I mean in the atrium. Not at home where I am typing this. The nearby buildings contribute lines to the reflective walls and the supporting beams and marble seams.
